Maggie was raised on Earth, but finds herself deported to the elven world, a planet on which she knows precisely one person. A person who broke her heart, and who she doesn’t trust not to do it again.
Immigration Specialist Yuri is used to helping people who come to him with no knowledge of the elven world. But he’s not used to them being his exes, let alone exes that he never really got over.
Meanwhile, retired hockey player Vil had no idea what he was signing up for when he agreed to host a newcomer while she adjusts to her new environment. He thought he’d be helping a stranger, not his boyfriend’s ex. Certainly not an ex who’s clearly still in love with Yuri but attached to the idea of monogamy despite now living in a world where polyamory is the cultural norm.
Battling personal mental health issues, family drama, small town gossip, and even imperial politics, the three struggle to determine what they mean to each other and whether they can find Happily Ever After.

Bartender Bex had enough on her plate before her best friend announced his impending devotion ceremony. As official ceremony Guide, the bulk of the planning falls to Bex. During her busiest time of year. And while she’s nursing a heartache. Sure, she could take the wedding party up on their offer to hire an organizer, but admitting she needs help would hurt her pride. And before long, she wishes that was all she had to deal with.
Etsian didn’t mean to hurt Bex when he left for the winter like always. But his wife had plans he didn’t know about. Soon he finds himself back in Niaretya and faced with a choice: breakup with Bex or file for divorce. His heart feels the choice is obvious, but his wife is vindictive and has a hold over Bex’s business. Is it selfish to pursue his desires when that could cost his girlfriend her bar?
Kiyli is sick of being relegated to celebrity gossip columns, but arguing with her editor for stories with more meat resulted in her being put on furlough. Returning to her hometown for the winter, where she faces hostility resulting from past defamation of a popular local, she is determined to focus on internal reflection for the season. Yet, she’s soon sucked into political drama that could threaten the life of an old friend’s fiancé.
The three come together despite a history of bad blood between Bex and Kiyli to protect their friend, save the pub, throw the best devotion ceremony their town has ever seen, and possibly find lasting happiness.
